It’s never too early to decide and commit to participating in National Novel Writing Month.
The event is held every year, in November, in hopes of promoting daily writing, as well as the completion of a full novel. Be it the first draft, the second, or a final an author may be editing and adding to before they send it off for publication.
I’ve participated a total of four times, (2013-2015, 2017) and have completed three times (2013-2015).
I’ve experienced the crazed desire to pressure myself to finish, stressing over not having enough words or not finishing the novel it self. And I’ve also learned that even if you don’t complete the full novel in November, it’s best to relax and settle on at least getting a few words written every day.
I have a method that I’ve feel I’ve gotten down, and I am fully confident that this year, 2018, I’ll do fairly well.
Are you participating? Do you have a method?
Do you have any writing buddies to help you keep track, to help motivate you?
Feel free to add my account Cortney – NaNoWriMo
Share with me how you’re feeling, what a few of your plans are. Also, if you’re sharing on Wattpad, please feel free to let me know where I can find your novel. Along with encouraging a few friends of mine, I will be promoting their works (as well as my own) via the popular writing site.
You’ll be able to find me and my upcoming NaNo novel at Cortney – Wattpad
Hope to gather a few good reads from other NaNo participants, and I hope that you all do well.
