A few years ago, I wanted to work on my nervousness/shyness as well as an extreme stuttering that suddenly hits me whenever I am forced/put into any public speaking situation.

Being a poet, I figured that eventually it would only make sense for me to veer into YouTube with videos of my own. I began with strictly audio, and even that was stressful. I can’t tell you how many takes and recordings it usually took me to get a decent minute long audio file.

And then, little by little I started hopping in front of the camera. Even used my love for New Edition (because I can talk about them with NO issue all day long), in an attempt to keep me consistent on my channel.

Needless to say, I have two (one for my poetry, and one for ‘vlogging’), and I haven’t been consistent on either. Not because I don’t have material, or because I can’t squeeze in a little time. Honestly, I’m even more comfortable on the camera to the point where there’s very little I have to edit out when I do record. I just don’t.

So, with that being said; I want to get back into posting on my YouTube channel, with those videos being housed here on MyPenWritesNice.com.

My question to you all who follow or frequent the site; aside from my poetry videos when I gather new material, what would you like to see me talk about? Writing, life, music?

I really would love to do a Q&A type of thing, but I don’t have a lot of subscribers to ask so I’m never too sure what anyone dropping by my channel would want to know. So, perhaps you all who read my work may have some questions?

Please feel free to leave them in the comments, as well as what you would like to see on my YouTube channel (and here on the site) once I am ready to begin posting again. I’m taking any and all suggestions, and really look forward to opening myself up a bit more (as I work towards becoming more confident in myself in my art again.

Thanks!

xoxo, Cortney
